re: six days

first things first. since when was grey's anatomy renamed "inappropriate relationships between interns and attendings"? or "your suitor is your superior with a scalpel"?

tonight's episode was thrilling...meredith's snoring and derek's morning breath...izzie's freakout at the bank...george's poor father...cristina stalking burke's room and eventually sleeping on his couch...alex defending addison by giving mcsteamy a vanilla latte...

what was the fantastic surgery that alex was supposed to scrub in for? did i miss something? it couldn't have been meredith's niece since that was an emergency surgery...

and did you NOTICE that meredith's hair? perhaps she is feeling empty with the return of her father, sparking reminders of how he was never there for her, thus the waviness. or maybe her stylist was on vacation or her flat iron short-circuited...who knows. i'm glad to see that meredith and derek are having happy moments, she with squinty eyes, he with twinkly. i find the worst thing tv shows can do is finally pair the "it" couple together, then makes one of them not nice or fun anymore, making the couple fight all the time only to split them up and have an awkward relationship where they try to be friends but can't. we'll see how long this lasts. hopefully forever. sigh.

I totally noticed Meredith's hair as well. I thought to myself "I wonder what Rumiko will think?". Ha!

Okay! Rant! I did not enjoy last night's episode, as there was WAY too much stuff going on. It was all over the place and the only redeemable scenes were of Callie's staredowns. On the plus side, I think I'm finally warming up to her.

And what was with that conversation between Addison and Burke?!? When do they ever have serious relationship discussions?!?! It seemed as though a lot of the character interactions weren't very realistic. Oh Grey's, please don't start slipping on me.

P.S. I think you need to develop an Addison theory because she was looking fierce yesterday.

haha! i forgot to include the stare-downs on my list of things that i enjoyed.

yes, that conversation between burke and addison was kind of weird, but remember when meredith was getting her appendix out and addison and her had a moment? maybe addison feels for those in a hospital bed, resulting in uncharacteristic conversation. maybe?!

and i agree that the episode was very disjunct, but i think it's mostly because it wasn't supposed to be a two-part episode, they just didn't want to cut anything, so they made it two parts. kind of like how the kill bill movies were slightly unbalanced because it was supposed to be one movie, not two. i'm sure it will become more clear in the second episode. have faith, dana!

ps. hi shelley! i'm so honoured that you commented my blog!

i was going to mention the "it was supposed to be only one episode" thing, but APPARENTLY you have already read Grey Matter!

as if i even have to ask...

ok ... i'm confused. i just watched the show, but i saw nothing about the morning breath or the snoring, that i had seen on the preview for the episode. and alex was supposed to scrub in on a surgery? maybe i got a bad edit of the episode ... hmmm .... guess that just means i have to watch it again.

and i like when addison has her moments - it's like she's stepping out of her society upbringing to actually connect with ppl .. and then realizes that that's just not the person she is and it ends in awkwardness. is it wrong that i'm starting to really empathize with her?
