surf'n'turf?

we went out for dinner tonight. our food probably took 45 minutes to arrive at our table, and when it did, it was terribly over-cooked. my food was cold, dry and flavour-less. kris' steak was well-done when it was supposed to be medium. we didn't even have to tell the waitress, who noticed kris' steak was a lump of gray mass on a plate. she was extremely apologetic and replaced his steak. then the manager came over and apologized again, and asked me how my food was...i told her it was cold and dry, but that it's okay since they already replaced the steak. she insisted on getting me a new, piping hot meal. they also didn't charge us for my food and threw in free dessert.

because of their attempts, i almost feel obligated to go back...i guess that's what they were hoping. but that'll teach kris a lesson about ordering steak at a sub-par seafood restaurant...
