my dream come true!

ha, my post title insinuates that this is a good thing.

i dream periodically that my teeth are falling out. it's not a nice dream and the emotions and sensations are very real - it starts with one tooth, usually with a bit of my tooth still stuck in my gums (gross, sorry)...then more start to fall out, and i usually think to myself in an exasperated tone, "aww, not again!" as if this is completely normal.

this morning, i was eating my normal morning snack - which one would normally call breakfast but it's so small that i don't think it qualifies as breakfast - yogurt with granola. i'm usually watching tv or on the computer as i'm eating, so i'm not paying close attention to my food.

as i'm eating, i come across a particularly hard-as-a-rock piece of granola. i barely notice and continue to finish my yogurt. only when i'm finished do i notice that one of my back molars feels jagged. upon further investigation...yup, i chipped part of my tooth off...and since there is no telltale piece of tooth to prove it, i apparently also ingested it (ew, sorry again).

a while back, i looked into what it means to dream about your teeth falling out. it means that i'm very vain. hmmm. i probably think this song is about me, too.

i've read that falling out teeth dreams mean that there's bad stuff coming in business or your health ... or that you're afraid of being made a fool of or that it symbolizes money? although, for you, i hypothesize that it has something to do with your teeth obsession. you did remember to floss, right?
