new friends!

i was getting ready for work, putting on my make-up and noticed two men wearing hard hats standing on the other side of my balcony. despite my initial thought, they weren't levitating, they were on a crane thingie that hoisted them there. they were knocking on the balcony to get my attention, probably so i would realize they were there and not start undressing or something. reason #18275 to invest in window coverings. although - all of my reasons to invest in window coverings are the same, or revolve around the same area of concern (so as to not expose myself in front of strangers, only close friends), so i guess it's just reason #1.

paco and jorge (yes, i've named them) were here to cover up a gaudy yellow pipe cover - i don't know what the official construction term is, but the guy who spoke the most english (paco) called scaffolding a box, so i'm sure he won't mind my layman's terms. jorge didn't really seem to know what was going on, so paco is in the lead for being my favourite...

they promised to be back tomorrow to stucco and put the finishing touches on the pipe cover with the help of the box/scaffolding, so i look forward to seeing my amigos again! fully dressed, of course...
