disappointment erased!

we went to the mall today so kris could get a pair of his pants altered - and we stopped in at banana to see what how much our purchases yesterday cost here. the dress i bought for $60 american is $160 canadian here. math was never my strong subject, but that's a HUNDRED dollar difference! so now the 3 hour wait at the border seems completely worth it. we happened upon the manager of the store, and told her that her merchandise is ridiculously overpriced, although i'm sure she already knew that - her response? the prices in the states are going to go up. hmph. that's not the answer i was expecting...but again, this justifies the 3 hour wait. and next time, you can bet we will avoid the lewiston bridge.
