re: let the truth sting

rory's dad? RORY'S DAD?? i just don't know how i feel about that.

this episode was the typical third episode - nothing mind-blowing, but enough to keep you watching.

i enjoyed seeing the (small) rift in meredith and cristina's friendship. every friendship goes through that, and i've never really found their friendship to be terribly convincing although in theory, it makes sense, so this was good to see that they have a "normal" friendship.

alex was amazing - he drained the spinal fluid out of the guy's eye. his EYE! - and he was a jerk - he spilled the beans about george being a repeater. that's just mean. but it had to come out sometime. still. stupid alex.

i liked the really old guy. i'm sad that he's gone. the metaphor with him checking out was a nice touch.

meredith's attempt to teach lexie was obviously failed - i don't think you can teach someone anything until they trust you. and lexie doesn't trust meredith...at least she didn't. now that meredith and lexie have somewhat resolved their tension, judging from the previews, it looks like we are headed to the predicted mer/der/lexie love triangle...at least it appears they are heading in that direction.

sigh.
