january update

wow. things have been so busy lately. a recap of my life for the past little while:

this is one of the busiest times of the year at work. we had our postponed christmas party thingie last sunday. because it got postponed, the date ended up conflicting with new teacher training that had already been scheduled. this meant that i worked 12 hours on sunday. then the rest of the week was taken up by furiously writing 30 performance reviews, and there were a couple more 12 hour days in there, along with 10 hour days for the rest. but the bulk of it is done, so i'm a little thankful i put in the time to make this coming week hopefully less busy.

we thought we were going to put our condo on the market tomorrow, so last week was also spent cleaning, de-cluttering, re-organizing and preparing to make our house show-worthy. we got rid of some furniture, packed some things away, threw out a fair amount and we finally got the tiles that cracked again, repaired again. this time, the installer didn't forget to leave the fridge unplugged, mostly because kris was home when the guy was here. he WAS 6 days late in coming though, but who's counting? (see, this is me trying to not complain! more about my resolutions in the next post!).

then we met with our real estate agent. as i said, we were going to list our condo tomorrow, but after some discussion, decided to hold off until february 1. there are couple units with our same layout on other floors selling, so we're hoping they will sell first so we have less competition.

our townhouse may be delayed, not because it won't be finished in time, but because the builder is struggling with the city to ensure timely hydro hook-up. hydro is a good thing to have when one lives in a house, so we are okay with waiting for this. we will find out tomorrow if there will be a delay, and for how long. this is also why we were fine with the small aforementioned delay in putting our house on the market.

i am also doing a bit of accompanying. one student lives in thornhill, and her exam is in richmond hill. that seems excessively far to drive, but her teacher is my friend and a little extra cash never hurt anyone.

all in all, things are good. just very very hectic!

OH, and i HAVE watched the last new episode of grey's, and i WILL blog about it. just not now. (i'm a busy girl, remember?)
