i actually didn't have time to watch last week's episode until tonight. tragic, i know. but here it is, finally...some of you have been waiting...
"bringing home strays"? loved it. alex sucking up to bailey? loved it. sloan befriending the 13 year old girl? loved it. bailey's speech about how she's not going to give the residents a speech to give to their interns? loved it. mer thinking that derek was the one making izzie all porny? LOVED IT! the opening of this episode was just fantastic.
new theory, thanks to vanessa: maybe izzie is going to kill herself in the end so she can be with denny! she is going cuckoo, and this will be her choosing denny over alex, once and for all. shonda apparently claimed that izzie won't be diagnosed with a brain tumour. she did not say, however, that izzie won't die...
why did izzie go to alex at the end of the episode? i think it's because she knows in her heart that denny's not going anywhere. this means that she can choose alex for the night, week, month, whatever, and denny will still be there for her. and then she'll kill herself. because she won't be able to handle it. booyaka!
and where DID denny go when izzie thought he'd left for good? he can't have gone to the bathroom, dead people don't need to pee. this is slightly suspicious. maybe he went to ingest an extra dose of formaldehyde. you know, to stay fresh?
have i mentioned that i loooove izzie's hair short? it's so incredibly beautiful, and when she curls it, she looks so elegant.
poor little grey. she was only pushed to do the rogue surgery because of sadie and her saying meredith thought lexie was a priss. i don't think i like sadie. i know i said in my previous blog that she was hot and accent-y and would probably grow on me...but she seems cancerous. evil. stirring the pot. don't like her.
after everyone's been competing for the solo surgery, cristina and meredith actually inherit their own. i love that bailey didn't just take over, but she taught them how to do it. yay for teaching. and it's nice to see cristina and meredith fight. it's not normal for friends as close as they are to never have an argument. i thought it was ironic that at the beginning of the episode, meredith talks endearingly of how fiercely loyal cristina is, but she didn't reciprocate in the end.
and HOW did owen know exactly which door stoop was cristina's? she said "i live across the street," not "i live across the street in that house over there, you know, number 53 with the red flower in the window" - but still, it made for a fairy-tale-esque kind of moment. sigh. maybe owen isn't so bad when he's not jamming pens into people's throats.

i think i like owen an awful lot. this could be partially due to association with other characters he's played ...
(i finally just watched the episode too ... what was up with the "lexie loves george" bit?)
