weekend summary

as is our long weekend tradition, we went to our friends' cottage in bobcaygeon. some highlights:

kris and i played golf; my first round of the summer. i didn't play so well, but that's okay, i can only get better from here...right?

i now have some new nicknames, thanks to one person in particular: timbit, mini-bit, tiny-bit, megabyte...i think there were more, but i can't remember them all. oh, and the self-proclaimed THUMBMASTER, muhahah.

i discovered my newest favourite flavour of ice cream courtesy of kawartha dairy; chocaberry blast, berry-flavoured ice cream with chocolate ribbony stuff throughout...along with big pieces of cherries and chocolate bits filled with raspberry jelly (kind of like the godiva raspberry bars!) heaven. i wanted to get some again before we left on monday but didn't because of my next item...

way too much fun on sunday night (read: drinking...uh, hi mom) and we stayed up too late (read: early) but good times had by all. especially after a lively game of kings (in which i am the reigning thumb-master) and once the communal drink started making its way around the campfire.

a couple questions to ponder...
is "the big tomato" (notorious for bad food and service) a restaurant or a place that sells and grows tomatoes? what is the short form for the name "nelly"? (this resulted in everyone calling each other by their first syllable) is tuna chicken or fish? does ang have a twin sister? does vanessa have a friend named jessica? that, we will never know.

the weather was nice throughout the weekend...no rain, but definitely on the cool side. and, of course as we're packing up to go home, we experience the warmest weather of the weekend.
