i have to say, i enjoyed this episode - it had the drama (when meth daddy punched alex out??) mixed with humour...i actually laughed out loud several times, but that could be from the sheer loneliness of not having enough people contact this week.

i LOVE how mama burke tore a strip off of meredith...especially because i kind of agree, at the wedding meredith was being ridiculous so i'm glad someone else noticed and called her on it. if i were her, i would have chosen inappropriate. no one likes to be selfish.

and i love how meredith tore into lexie a little. i feel bad for her, but the way meredith explained was perfect. and sad.

bailey was incredible...she always is, but she was even better than usual this week...i think maybe it's because i miss her bossing people around and she did a lot of that this week.

the writers of this show are clearly fans of the lingering looks with googly eyes and almost-kisses, but i don't buy it when george and izzie are the subjects. i've said it before and i'll say it again: it would be lovely if there could be one happy couple. just one. george and callie were happy. now they are not. the chief and adele?? burktina? and mer/der continue to have these ups and downs, why oh WHY can't we just have happiness? i realize that not everyone in life is happy, but it would be nice to have an idealized couple, just once. please? happy couples have existed on this show, but usually one of them ends up dying (george's parents, thatch and susan)...what kind of reflection on life is that? you can be happily married, but oops, one of you has to die prematurely. hmph.
