mambo italiano?

i have blogged about my supercute asian student who sometimes calls me yuh-miko. i also teach her younger brother, who also happens to be a supercute asian. coincidence??

so tonight, we were talking about different volume levels in music, like forte and mezzo-piano. he told me that these words are italian. i asked him how he knew that, and was he italian? he gave me a blank stare and said: "no. are you?" he didn't get the fact that i was trying to be funny since he is clearly not italian...but i guess it went over his head.
