re: forever young

at first, i thought lexie brushing alex off was a good thing becuase it gave thatch an opportunity to apologize to meredith; when meredith believed everything her dad said, it seemed to heal meredith a little...then lexie crushed her happiness and she's back to square one, if not negative one. i always love seeing the chief stand in as meredith's father.

about the girl who broke her butt. in unversity, i fell on a stair - not down the stairs...just plop, on a stairstep...it was surprisingly painful and i swore that i broke my bum. the doctor said that's not possible. he lied!

i really enjoy the complexity of the character that is bailey. first she's lecturing everyone not to act like they're in high school, and her words end up haunting her through this episode - in every way. she was doing everything she told her residents not to do, right down to the crying! i have to say that blubbering bailey is way better than blubbering izzie. the scene with derek at the end was wonderful and touching...of course he was a band geek. THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING A BAND GEEK. i just wonder if bailey realizes that she still has a mushroom haircut?

my favourite line of the episode: "hey dad, want to get a drink?" haha! and finally...to rose (the nurse): back off, bitch!

When Bailey made the comment about a mushroom head, I was totally thinking the same as what you wrote. It doesn't look much different.

i was thinking the mushroom thing too! OF COURSE.

and yes, the dad comment made me laugh out loud. ah, the witty banter.

although... even though it crushed meredith to know those things her dad said aren't that special, i think it might be kind of helpful to her to know that lexie doesn't have this perfect relationship with their dad, and she can stop being so jealous of that ideal.
