i am sick. again. this is the third time in five weeks that i've been sick, reminding me of when i first started working at the school, when my immune system was low and i was weak! now it appears i have become weak again - or maybe just run-down with wearing too many different hats at work. figuratively, of course. wearing too many hats literally would probably ward me from sickness if you listen to the old-fashioned wives' tales.

yesterday, my student came in looking terrible. i asked him how he was doing, and he said bad because he has the flu, and stayed home from school all day. luckily his fever broke just before his lesson. sarcasm. so now i'm sick. i can't even stay home tomorrow because i'm running a meeting.

my allergies have also been bad since the spring, so when i'm not sick, my allergies are attacking me, so i haven't really have any nasal refuge for a while. i have found that when my allergies are bothering me, if i have to sneeze but can't, it's mildly annoying. when i'm sick though, if my sneeze is interrupted, it's like the worst feeling ever. i feel my head is going to blow up and explode if i don't release the pressure through sneezing. and then when i finally do sneeze, i sneeze 8 times in a row.
