re: wish you were here

um, yes. derek's sour-lemon dancing face is SO the funniest thing i have seen in a long time. i have said that i miss the mer/der cuteness this season, so i'm glad to see it's returned. and the quickie was totally a gratuitous scene that was thrown in there to sate all of our thirsts. gratuitous or not, i'll take it. :)

i always enjoy getting to know more about our friends...derek's father being killed seems to add another layer to his hot complexity.

if only meredith would get over herself already. i don't blame cristina for being mad at her. she really should apologize to cristina. speaking of faltering friendships, i think they could have done a better job of implying that mer and sadie had a troubled history. i didn't see signs of that at ALL at the beginning, but i guess reunions are meant to be happy when two friends don't see each other for a while, regardless of their baggage? it does make sense that meredith would shut someone out of her life so easily with her abandonment daddy issues. oh thatcher, if only you knew what an damage you caused...

i love callie and sloan's relationship. i love how they tried to use each other to stop themselves from getting naked with an intern. to no avail.

it sounded like denny had a bit of a cold. since when do ghosts catch colds? i thought they were invincible! or at least immune to lowly human diseases. who knew?

speaking of which, i don't know where the izzie/denny/alex thing is going. the more i think about it, the more they can't kill izzie off. alex would be completely broken and would probably just curl up in the fetal position and become a zombie. a zombie in the fetal position. i wonder if denny will just choose to leave. whatever happens, i hope it happens soon. oh, and as IF she asked denny if he was going to give her a present for her birthday?! what is she expecting, ghost jewellery? or a ghost dinner? a ghost trip to the caribbean? yeesh. whenever i think i might be able to tolerate izzie, she goes and says something like this...
