"death"?? i just don't know how i feel about that. i'd much rather call my girls lizzie, christine and marybeth. :) i don't know why that amuses me so much, but it does. simple pleasures.
now sadie...i kind of feel like when you have a new friend, and you meet one of your new friend's old friends, who shared so much with your new friend before you were even friends with her, as if they are in an exclusive club that you can't join, not because you don't want to, but because you can't since your time machine is in the shop, so you're jealous. i yike run-on sentences. :) anyway, it's pretty clear cristina feels this way too. sadie definitely has a prickly demeanour at the beginning, but i do admit that she and her accent are pretty smokin' hot. kind of a keira knightley kind of look to her; i think it's the eyebrows. and i do like keira knightley. okay, sadie may grow on me...BUT ONLY IF SHE TAKES HER SHOES OFF BEFORE JUMPING IN BED. WHO WEARS THEIR SHOES WHEN JUMPING IN SOMEONE ELSE'S BED? WERE WE RAISED IN BARNS, PEOPLE? cristina did the same thing back in season 3, i think it was. what's up with meredith befriending people who wear their shoes in her bed?
now, i know i said i didn't want to know any spoilers, but i'm pretty sure i've figured it out. skip to the next paragraph if you don't want to know that izzie is on her way out...meaning, to death - not to meredith, but the actual state of being...or not being, i suppose. hyuk. and that denny is only touchable to her because he's come to get her so they can live happily ever after together. a nice end, if there has to be one. but sad. my girl, lizzie...we never did see eye-to-eye, but i think i will miss her. just like how if you don't really like someone, you don't actually dislike them so much that you want them to die. because that's just mean.
callie's wish to fix someone's broken bones came true. but then she couldn't fix him, even though she had successfully reconstructed his bones...he died before she could put them in. just like she couldn't fix her relationship with erica. her breakdown was wonderfully done too. apparently season 5 is all about hysterical fits of crying. i like, i like. (what does that say about me as a person?)
"KEEP LITTLE SLOAN OUT OF LITTLE GREY!" i love it! especially mark's reaction to being called "little sloan". faaaantastic. you'd think a bunch of doctors could actually cut the euphemisms and call things what they are. then again, you'd think a bunch of doctors would be able to diagnose asperger's syndrome when they see it. even i knew she had some kind of disorder. and i teach piano for a living. i wonder if there's more to this story? it seems kind of abrupt to just bring her in, ostracize her, have her deliver a TKO punch on her way out, never to return again. maybe she'll be the new cardio-thoracic doctor. this role seems destined to be the grey's equivalent of the defence against dark arts teacher in harry potter. no one can keep it for longer than a year after burke is gone...or shall i say he-who-must-not-be-named?
