yesterday, i managed to contract pink eye. i have no idea how this happened, and this will definitely not help tame my hand-washing obsession/germ phobia.
i always thought pink eye just meant your eye turned pink. and maybe a bit itchy. little did i know, that pink eye, in its ugliest form, makes one look like a zombie...my eye was swollen, filled with goop and smaller than my normal eye.
i went to a walk-in clinic to get antibiotic drops and was told to put them in my bad eye once an hour for the first day. when i called the school to say i was taking a sick day, i spoke to the receptionist who has 3 kids. she was impressed that i had to use the drops once an hour - it's not usually that often, apparently. it appears that i got myself a fantastic case of pink eye! when i do something, i go all the way!
my zombie eye is much better now, and not leaking any kind of goopiness anymore. but now my other eye has gotten infected, which means i have pink eyes. i can't wait to go back to just having brown eyes.
