i've always been curious about starbucks' london fog tea latte. i finally decided to give it a try. i'm wondering if that was a terrible mistake, because now i am addicted. instead of being addicted to extinct-until-next-january $3 cupcakes, now i'm addicted to get-it-anytime-you-want-it $5 tea. it's a wonderful blend of earl grey tea, steamed milk and vanilla syrup.
so i tried making it at home. i figured, i had earl grey tea bags, milk and sugar. but microwaving the crap out of milk just isn't the same as steaming it. and sugar does not = vanilla syrup. my version of the london fog latte was a sad, sad imitation that just left me thirsting for the real thing.
until tomorrow, my london fog latte! until tomorrow!

you could probaby get a little hand-size steamer pretty cheap? and they definitely sell vanilla syrup... i think i've seen bottles of it at williams pubs :)
